India’s economic growth remains the shining exception: FM Nirmala Sitharaman presents Union Budget 2024-25
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2024-25 on Tuesday, highlighting India’s strong economic growth and low inflation.
In her opening remarks, Sithamraman said that India’s economic growth “remains the shining exception and will continue to be so.” She emphasized that India’s inflation continues to remain low
“We are determined that all Indians regardless of religion and age achieve life goals and aspirations,” Sitharman said.
Sitharaman presented the first Union Budget of the Modi 3.0 government and her seventh consecutive budget during the monsoon session of Parliament.
On Monday, the Economic Survey, which was tabled in Parliament by the Finance Minister, projected that the Indian economy has the potential to sustain a growth rate of 7% in the medium term. Prime Minister Modi commended the Survey for highlighting the economy’s current strengths and identifying areas for further growth and progress as the government works towards building a developed India.
