Inaugural cruise ship from India to Sri Lanka set sail from Chennai Port

The inaugural cruise ship from India to Sri Lanka has set sail from Chennai Port on Monday. The luxury vessel is scheduled to arrive at Sri Lanka’s Hambantota Port on 7th of June. It will then continue to Trincomalee, before returning to Chennai on 9th of June.

The Cordelia Empress offers a range of amenities and entertainment options, including a luxury shopping area, pubs, a swimming pool, a food court, a casino, a play area, spas, and theatres. This lavish experience aims to attract tourists seeking a unique travel experience.
Over the next four months, the cruise ship plans to cater to around 50,000 passengers traveling from India to Sri Lanka. This new venture is expected to boost tourism and strengthen the maritime connections between the two countries.
