NADA has launched Anti-Doping helpline number for athletes to provide information about Anti-Doping rules and guidelines: Anurag Thakur

Government has emphasized that ethical conduct as a key factor in the fair administration of the sporting disciplines and facilitates a safe environment free of harassment and discrimination for all stakeholders participating in sports. Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur said this in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha. He said, government is committed to eradicate doping and drug abuse by sportspersons.

He said, National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) has launched an Anti-Doping helpline number for the athletes and athlete support personnel to provide information about Anti-Doping rules and guidelines. The helpline number is 1800-119-919. The Minister also informed that woman coach will be a mandatory part of any contingent with female athletes during domestic and international camps and competition exposures.
