CII & FICCI laud G20 Leaders’ Summit 2023

Lauding the Delhi Declaration at the 18th G20 Leaders’ Summit 2023, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Chief R Dinesh congratulated PM Modi for getting the declaration done with a focus on ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. He said that an awareness has been created that India can be a trusted partner for the global value chain from which Indian industries will benefit significantly.

He added, “We congratulate PM Modi for getting this declaration done. First, if you look at it, we have had the inclusion of the African Union with a focus on ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. Secondly, there has been a very good focus on the ability to sustain growth. Third, there is the importance of the introduction of private sectors and the focus on the SMEs. The aspirations of the global south have been made a part of the declaration which creates an opportunity for developing countries to be a part of the global value chain…India had been doubted as one of the trusted partners for the global value chain. Partnerships like the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor.

Also, the opportunity to become part of the global value chain has been significantly increased post the G20 declaration. Awareness has been created that India can be a trusted partner, therefore Indian industry will benefit from that significantly,” said R Dinesh.

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) President Subhrakant Panda on September 9 also said that the signing of the New Delhi G20 Leader’s Summit Declaration speaks volumes about the rise of India as a global leader.
