Amit Shah calls for ruthless approach in combating terrorism
Union Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a powerful message at the inauguration of the “3rd Anti-terror Conference” organized by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the national capital, New Delhi. Emphasizing the need for a relentless approach in the fight against terrorism, Shah called upon all anti-terrorism agencies to adopt innovative measures and ensure that new terrorist organizations cannot emerge.
During his address, Shah proposed the establishment of a Model Anti-terrorism Structure under the purview of the NIA. He stressed the importance of standardizing the hierarchy, structure, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of anti-terrorism agencies across all states for enhanced coordination between central and state agencies. The primary objective, as outlined by the Home Minister, is to prevent the formation of new terrorist organizations.
In a pre-conference statement shared on social media platform X, Shah reaffirmed the Modi government’s unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country. He highlighted the policy of zero tolerance for terrorism, which has been a cornerstone of the government’s approach to national security.
The “3rd Anti-terror Conference,” hosted by the NIA, serves as a platform for discussing various issues related to countering terrorism. It aims to develop a comprehensive roadmap for tackling the menace of terrorism while fostering close coordination with other national and state security forces.
