MOS V Muralidharan’s Ras Al Khaimah visit enhances bilateral ties and community engagement

Minister of State V Muralidharan conducted a series of industrial visits in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah during his two-day visit to the UAE. The visit kicked off with a meeting at Ashok Leyland, where the automotive company presented a comprehensive overview of its operations, spotlighting substantial growth from an initial capacity of 2000 vehicles per annum to the current impressive capacity of 6000 vehicles per annum.
Minister Muralidharan commended Ashok Leyland’s achievements and proposed a significant initiative- welcoming diplomats from African countries to visit Ashok Leyland’s Pant Nagar plant at Uttarakhand. This proposal aims to fortify economic collaboration and spotlight India’s automotive manufacturing prowess on the global stage.
In discussions at the Ashok Leyland plant, Minister Muralidharan championed the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Skill Development Yojana to elevate workforce skills. Emphasizing the significance of understanding skill requirements to address existing gaps, he aimed at ensuring effective workforce training.
The minister’s engagements extended to diverse businesses in Ras Al Khaimah, including visits to the Dabur International manufacturing plant and Helios Cosmetics and Perfumes Ltd. His interactions with workers, plant visits, and discussions on potential collaborations underscored the deepening economic ties between India and the UAE.
During the visit, Minister Muralidharan interacted with members of the Indian Relief Committee and Indian Business and Professional Council at RAK Hotel, actively addressing community grievances. Assuring diplomatic measures, he furthered connections with the business community, promoting stronger people-to-people ties.
Minister Muralidharan also shared details of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming engagement with the Indian Diaspora in the UAE on February 13th. The event, named “Ahlan Modi” is scheduled to take place at the Sheikh Zayed Sports Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Community members were encouraged to register on the portal for facilitation during the event.
Earlier during the tour, the Minister served as the chief guest at the inaugural event of the second International Ayush Conference, expressing enthusiasm for the conference’s focal theme, “Non-Communicable Chronic Diseases – Prevention & Management through AYUSH.” In his speech, he highlighted AYUSH as a prevention-oriented and cost-effective approach to creating a disease-free society.
