PM Modi inaugurates and dedicates development projects worth Rs 35,700 crore in Dhanbad, Jharkhand

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated and dedicated multiple development projects worth Rs 35,700 crore in Sindri, Dhanbad, Jharkhand. These projects cover areas like fertilizer, railways, power, and coal, marking a big step forward in the region’s infrastructure growth.

During the event, PM Modi inspected the HURL Model and took a walkthrough of the Sindri Plant Control Room. Addressing the audience, he emphasized the importance of the initiatives undertaken, highlighting their contribution to the state’s progress and congratulating the farmers, tribals, and citizens of Jharkhand.

PM Modi recalled his commitment to revive the Sindri Fertiliser Plant, stressing its significance in providing employment opportunities for local youth. He also underscored the nation’s journey towards self-sufficiency in urea production, citing the rise in production from 225 lakh metric tonnes to 310 lakh metric tonnes over the last decade.

Additionally, the Prime Minister emphasized the railway revolution in Jharkhand with the commencement of new rail lines and the doubling of existing ones. He highlighted the significance of projects like the Dhanbad-Chandrapura rail line and the Deoghar – Dibrugarh train service in enhancing regional connectivity and promoting economic development.

PM Modi reiterated the government’s commitment to prioritizing the development of tribal communities, the poor, youth, and women in Jharkhand. He stressed the importance of making India a developed nation by 2047 and expressed confidence in Jharkhand’s role in achieving this goal.

The event was attended by dignitaries including Governor of Jharkhand, C P Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Champai Soren, and Union Minister Arjun Munda.

Among the projects inaugurated, the Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL) Sindri Fertiliser Plant, developed at a cost of more than Rs 8900 crores, holds significance in enhancing indigenous urea production and benefiting farmers. The Prime Minister also dedicated several rail projects worth more than Rs 17,600 crore and important power projects aimed at improving power supply and contributing to socioeconomic development in the state.
