IMD predicts fresh spell of rainfall and snowfall over Western Himalayan region till March 7
The IMD has also predicted isolated to scattered light rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh for the next seven days.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a fresh spell of rainfall and snowfall over the Western Himalayan region until Thursday, with dry weather conditions expected over most parts of the country for the next five days.
The weather agency has forecast light to moderate rainfall and snowfall over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Hot and humid weather is likely to prevail over Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh, as well as in most parts of Tamil Nadu and Kerala over the next two days.
The IMD has also predicted isolated to scattered light rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh for the next seven days.
Additionally, a cyclonic circulation over interior Odisha and neighbourhood may lead to isolated rainfall over Odisha during March 5-8 and over sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim during March 7-9.
Meanwhile, the national capital will witness partly cloudy sky for the next few days. The maximum and minimum temperatures on Wednesday are likely to hover around 25 and 11 degrees Celsius, respectively. The air quality in Delhi continues to remain in the moderate category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the air quality index stood at 117 as of 6 AM on Wednesday.
