NCERT addresses concerns over non-availability of school textbooks

In response to concerns about the non-availability of school textbooks, The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) said on Tuesday said that it is actively working to ensure the timely delivery of books.

The NCERT said that about 33 lakh books of classes 1, 2, 7, 8, 10 and 12 have been printed and delivered to bookshops. “New syllabus books for classes 3 and 6 will be published this month and in May,” it added.

Additionally, the NCERT said that the books for classes 4, 5, 9 and 11 will be made available in the market this month.
