Heatwave Conditions Across Parts Of East And Peninsular India For Next Four Days: IMD
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heatwave conditions across parts of east and peninsular India for the next five days.
According to the weather agency, heatwave conditions are likely to persist across North Interior Karnataka, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
The met department has also predicted a gradual rise in maximum temperatures by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius across many parts of East India in the next three days.
The IMD said that heavy rainfall and thunderstorm activity is likely to continue across Northeast India until Sunday.
Further, light to moderate rainfall is likely across Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
