Chandigarh, September 29, 2025 \u2013 On the concluding day of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha session, Cabinet Minister Aman Arora launched a scathing attack on both the Modi government and the Congress party over the flood crisis.<\/p>\n
Arora accused the Centre of being \u201canti-Punjab,\u201d alleging that despite repeated letters from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Union government had failed to respond to the state\u2019s demands and concerns.<\/p>\n
He said desilting work is not permitted within five kilometers of the international border, a decision that rests with the Centre, yet no action has been taken.<\/p>\n
Turning his guns on the Congress, Arora alleged that previous governments did little for flood management apart from indulging in scams, citing the irrigation scam as an example.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn three years, we ensured drain cleaning and ground-level work, unlike the earlier governments that focused only on photo-ops,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
