US: Cocaine worth $2 million found in truck, driver Vikram Sandhu arrested
New York (US), January 11, 2022: Vikram Sandhu, 32--year-old truck driver has been arrested during an Interstate 70 traffic stop in Putnam County after cocaine estimate worth $2 million was found in the semi-tractor-trailer he was driving to Indianapolis.
His truck was stopped for a motor carrier inspection.
A criminal indicator was detected during a conversation with Sandhu, and a canine unit from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department was called to the scene.
The dog alerted on the odor of illegal drugs, and a search revealed about 115 pounds of cocaine in the sleeper berth.
