PM Modi to address BJP workers at party headquarters
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters today at approximately 6:30 PM to meet and thank party workers for their efforts in the recent Lok Sabha election.
According to a BJP source, the Prime Minister will meet with 100-150 workers who dedicated themselves tirelessly to the party’s campaign over the past three months. Modi is expected to inquire about their well-being and gather information about the day-to-day activities of the office.
This gesture is not unprecedented, as Prime Minister Modi has similarly met and thanked party workers following the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, aiming to boost morale and recognize their contributions.
Prime Minister Modi had met and thanked party workers following the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections as well, aiming to boost morale and recognize their contributions. The BJP, known for its robust cadre-based structure, upholds a tradition of top leadership engaging directly with ground-level workers to bolster their efforts. This meeting follows today’s Union Cabinet meeting.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the party lost its parliamentary majority, securing 240 seats, a decrease of 63 seats compared to their 2019 performance. Notably, in the crucial state of Uttar Pradesh, the party’s seat count dropped from 61 in the previous term to 33 in this election.
