Sixth Edition of Khelo India games to be formally inaugurated today

The sixth edition of the Khelo India games will be formally inaugurated today. Most of the indoor and outdoor games will be played in the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai. Other games like cycling, gymnastics, swimming, hockey, shooting, yogasana and wrestling will be played in various other venues in the city and the suburban areas. Malla Khamb and Kalaripayattu will be played in Trichy from 21st to 29th. Gatka and Kho Kho will be played in Madurai from 21st to 30th and BasketBall and Thang Ta will be played in Coimbatore from 21st to 30th of this month.

In the pool A Kabbadi under 18 girls match, Tamilnadu lost to Haryana by 21 points yesterday. Haryana took 41 while Tamilnadu was able to take only 20 points.

And in Boys Under 18 category Rajasthan won over Madhya Pradesh by 35 points. Rajasthan won 58 points while Madhya Pradesh had 23 points. In pool B under 18 girls, Bihar won over West Bengal by 16 points, Bihar had 35 points and West Bengal was able to score only 19 points and in boys under 18 category, Haryana beat Tamilnadu by 15 points Haryana had 44 points and Tamilnadu was able to score only 29 points.
