India sends 90 tonnes of medical supplies to Cuba
In a gesture of humanitarian aid, India has sent a shipment of approximately 90 tonnes of medical supplies to Cuba. The consignment, which departed from Mundra port on June 2, contains nine different Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) produced in India.
These APIs will be utilized by Cuban drug manufacturers to create essential antibiotics in various forms such as tablets, capsules, syrups, and injections. The medicines are crucial for treating chronic communicable diseases in Cuba.
This assistance highlights India’s reputation as the “Pharmacy of the World” and underscores the longstanding friendship between India and Cuba.
