Indian engineering powerhouse EIL Showcases Digital Innovation at ADIPEC 2024’s 40th Anniversary
Abu Dhabi’s premier energy forum, the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2024, launched Monday with expectations of drawing over 184,000 visitors and featuring more than 2,200 exhibiting companies. The four-day event, celebrating its 40th anniversary under the theme “Connecting Minds. Transforming Energy,” has attracted 54 national and international energy companies.
The India pavilion, organized by Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry (FIPI) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas guidance, presents the nation’s comprehensive energy vision through the theme “Innovate to Illuminate: India’s Energy Future.” Leading Indian oil and gas companies, including ONGC, IOCL, BPCL, HPCL, OIL, GAIL, and Engineers India Limited (EIL), are showcasing their technological capabilities and facilities.
EIL, a standout participant, has demonstrated significant presence in the UAE through its dedicated Abu Dhabi engineering office, which has recently expanded its workforce to serve the growing MENA region market. The company’s track record includes successful collaborations with ADNOC, particularly in delivering front-end engineering design (FEED) and project management services for major projects like the Borouge petrochemical complex expansion. EIL’s ongoing partnership with ADNOC is evidenced by recently completed FEED projects and secured long-term consulting agreements across ADNOC group companies.
In response to industry demands, EIL has embraced digital transformation in energy asset integrity management. The company’s innovative approach includes implementing Digital Twins, real-time optimization, and AI-powered solutions for decarbonization.
Notable developments include AI-based predictive maintenance tools and Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions for fired heaters, advancing crude refining efficiency.
These initiatives align with the global push toward sustainable and resilient energy infrastructure, addressing the critical balance between energy availability, affordability, and sustainability.
