Bathinda Administration honours sports-persons who have achieved in sports

Bathinda, December 6: Utsaah Scheme a brain child of DC Showkat Ahmad Parray IAS is proving helpful for the upcoming sports persons of the district.

Under this scheme, 2000 rupees per month is given to the participating players at international level, 1500 rupees to national level medalists and 1000 rupees per month to state level medalists.

In a small function held at the DAC Bathinda, ADC (G) Poonam Singh PCS disbursed cash awards along with certificates to 14 sportspersons, who had participated in International, National and state level competitions.

On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Poonam Singh said that the Utsaah Scheme of District Administration was started by Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ahmad Parray with the support of Bathinda Rifle Association from the year 2022.

She further said that after the completion of 2 years of the scheme, we are starting the third consecutive year of this incentive scheme, certificates have also been given along with depositing the online amount of the month of November in the account of these players.

Poonam Singh said that this amount under this scheme is deposited in the account of these players every month for 1 consecutive year.

ADC (G) Poonam Singh introduced the players and talked to them and encouraged them. She said that if there is any other player in the district Bathinda who has participated at the international level or is a medalist at the national level, state level, they can contact at room number 233-E of the district administrative complex Bathinda or at the Sports Stadium Bathinda in Shaheed Bhagat. The office can also contact the District Sports Officer.

On this occasion R.K. Jain Manager District Rifle Association Bathinda, District Sports Officer Parminder Singh, Gurcharan Singh Accountant, Coach Narinder Singh and players of various sports were present.
