Bengaluru: 15th Aero-India International exhibition on futuristic aerospace tech to commence today

The 15th edition of Aero India, Asia’s largest aerospace and defence exhibition, will commence at the Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru, Karnataka, on Monday. The theme of the event is “The Runway to a Billion Opportunities.”
Spanning over 42,000 square metres, the exhibition will feature more than 900 exhibitors, including 150 international firms, making it the largest Aero India to date.
Earlier, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh lauded the event and highlighted its significance, noting that the participation of more than 90 nations is a testament to the growing global confidence in India’s aerospace and defence capabilities. He also mentioned that defence ministers or representatives from 30 nations will participate in the event.
“The presence of air chiefs and secretaries from 43 countries further underscores the significance of this event—not just for India, but for the entire international defence community,” the defence minister said. He also described Aero India as a crucial platform that will drive forward the union government’s vision of a strong, capable, and self-reliant India.
“Aero India is a platform that showcases the strength, resilience, and self-reliance of ‘New India.’ It is not just crucial for India’s defence preparedness, but also plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of our nation. It will demonstrate our defence capabilities and forge global partnerships. Our goal is to enhance collaboration in areas of common interest with our friendly nations, fostering deeper cooperation and shared progress,” he said.
He added that the event is not only a showcase of technology and innovation, but also serves as an inspiration for India’s youth, fostering a scientific temperament and a spirit of innovation.
Aero India will take place from February 10 to 14. The first three days, from February 10 to 12, are dedicated to business activities, while February 13 and 14 will be open to the public, allowing people to experience the show.
