MP Global Investors Summit 2025 will play very important role for youth: CM Mohan Yadav

The Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025, which commenced on Monday, is expected to create substantial employment opportunities for the youth and drive economic growth in the state, according to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.

“Today is a very special day for Bhopal. After some time, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Global Investors Summit. It is a special day for all of us, especially for the people of Bhopal and Madhya Pradesh. We are organizing a big investment summit with industrialists from all over the world. New records of development will be created. This will play a very important role, especially for the youth,” said Chief Minister Yadav.

The two-day summit, taking place until February 25, aims to attract investments across various sectors, thereby strengthening the state’s economy and generating new job opportunities.

Prominent industrialists such as Adani Group Chairperson Gautam Adani, Aditya Birla Group Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla, Godrej Industries Limited Chairman Nadir Godrej, Rasna Private Limited Group Chairman Piruz Khambatta, Bharat Forge Limited Chairman and MD Baba N Kalyani, Sun Pharmaceuticals Limited Global Head of Operations Rahul Awasthi, and ACC Limited CEO Neeraj Akhoury are attending the summit. Gautam Adani, upon his arrival, remarked, “There are a lot of possibilities in Madhya Pradesh.”

Union Minister L. Murugan highlighted the summit’s potential to transform the state’s economy, stating, “Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has successfully organized the summit. There is a festive atmosphere in the city. Investors from across the country and the world are participating in the summit. The summit will give a big boost to the development of the state.”

According to an official release, entrepreneurs from 60 countries have been invited to explore investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh. The summit is hosting 13 ambassadors, six high commissioners, and several consul generals from key strategic nations, further strengthening international business ties. Notable diplomatic representatives include consul generals from Germany, Japan, Switzerland, and Malaysia, as well as senior representatives from the United Kingdom, Poland, the Netherlands, and Canada. Additionally, ambassadors from Nepal, Morocco, Zimbabwe, Angola, and Burkina Faso, along with high commissioners from Rwanda, Seychelles, Jamaica, Lesotho, and Uganda, have confirmed their participation.

The World Bank, led by Country Director Auguste Tano Kouame and senior specialists in infrastructure and digital transformation, is playing a key role at GIS-2025. The World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies (WAIPA) is also represented, with Deputy Executive Director Dushyant Thakor attending the event.

Several global trade and investment promotion agencies have confirmed their participation, reflecting strong international interest in Madhya Pradesh. These include the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), led by Director General Hiroyuki Kitamura; German Trade & Invest, represented by Director Seema Bharadwaj; Invest Ottawa; and agencies from Italy, Canada, Australia (Austrade), and Malaysia (Matrade).

To attract investment, Chief Minister Yadav conducted Regional Industry Conclaves across Madhya Pradesh and held interactive sessions in major Indian cities. International investment roadshows were organized in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan, providing a platform for regional industries and drawing global companies to explore investment opportunities in the state.

With the participation of top industrialists, diplomatic representatives, and international trade organizations, the Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2025 is expected to accelerate the state’s economic growth, solidify its position as a prime investment destination in India, and create employment opportunities for the youth.
