PM Modi is doing everything possible for Assam: Chief Minister Himanta Sarma

Calling the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit a “landmark event” for the state, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday said that no other state, except Gujarat, has witnessed such a large-scale investment summit.
Sarma expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support, stating, “Except for Gujarat, no state has hosted an investment summit of this magnitude. This is a landmark moment for Assam, and we extend our gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for making it possible. He is doing everything he can for Assam. Without his support, our capacity would have been very limited. Being a small state, we could have invited a few neighboring countries at most, but not beyond. Today is truly a remarkable day.”
Prime Minister Modi inaugurated the Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025 in Guwahati on Tuesday.
“Eastern India and the Northeast are embarking on a new journey towards the future. Advantage Assam is a mega initiative that connects Assam’s immense potential and progress with the world,” PM Modi said.
He highlighted the historical significance of Eastern India in the country’s prosperity, adding, “As we move towards Viksit Bharat, the Eastern and Northeastern regions will showcase their true potential.” He also congratulated Chief Minister Sarma for organizing the grand event and recalled his 2013 statement, predicting that “A for Assam” would soon become the norm.
PM Modi further emphasized India’s rapid economic growth despite global uncertainties. “Experts unanimously agree on one certainty: India’s fast-paced growth,” he said. He stressed that India is working with a long-term vision for the next 25 years and noted that the world has immense trust in India’s young, skilled, and innovative workforce.
