PM Modi to inaugurate rising North East Investors Summit on Friday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Rising North East Investors Summit on Friday at 10:30 AM at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The two-day event, being held from May 23 to 24, aims to spotlight the North East Region (NER) as a dynamic investment destination and bring together key stakeholders including policymakers, investors, entrepreneurs, and global partners.
The summit is the culmination of several pre-event engagements, including roadshows and state-specific roundtable meetings. Notable among these were the Ambassador’s Meet and Bilateral Chambers Meet, held in collaboration with central ministries and North Eastern state governments. These activities were designed to generate momentum and foster dialogue ahead of the main event.
The agenda for the two-day summit includes ministerial sessions, Business-to-Government (B2G) and Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings, and a dedicated exhibition zone. The exhibitions will showcase initiatives by central ministries and state governments to encourage investment in the region, alongside a platform for emerging startups to demonstrate innovation and potential.
Key sectors identified for focused investment promotion include Tourism and Hospitality, Agro-Food Processing and allied industries, Textiles, Handloom and Handicrafts, Healthcare, Education and Skill Development, IT and IT-enabled Services, Infrastructure and Logistics, Energy, as well as Entertainment and Sports.
