NRI Affairs Minister Sanjeev Arora appeals to Global Punjabi diaspora for flood relief support

Chandigarh, September 23, 2025: Punjab’s NRI Affairs and Industries Minister, Sanjeev Arora, has appealed to Punjabis settled abroad to extend wholehearted support for the state’s flood relief efforts.

Stressing the strong bond between Punjab and its diaspora, Arora said NRIs have always stood by the state in difficult times, and their contribution is once again vital.

Addressing the media, Arora informed that 13 leading industrialists met Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann today and together contributed more than ₹4 crore to the Rangla Punjab Relief Fund.

In a personal gesture, the minister also announced a donation of ₹50 lakh from his charitable trust to support flood-hit families.

Arora said, “Punjab’s NRIs are our strength. I appeal to the global Punjabi community to come forward generously and help rebuild lives impacted by these devastating floods.”
