Lahore High Court bars police from disturbing Sikh Pilgrim Sarabjit Kaur who married in Pakistan

Lahore, November 19, 2025: Lahore High Court has barred Pakistan Police from disturbing Sarabjit Kaur Sikh pilgrim who had gone with Sikh Jatha on Gurpurab and convert to Islam to marry his lover.

Hearing a petition by Sarabjit Kaur now converted to Nur Jahan and her husband Nasir Hussain, Lahore High Court Judge Farooq Haider ordered Pakistan Police to stop harassing the petitioners. In their petition they has claimed that police was unnecessarily harassing them and pressurising them to dissolve their marriage.
