“Vidhan Sabha Not Safe Either”: LoP Partap Bajwa alleges major security lapse in Punjab Assembly

Chandigarh, March 6, 2026: Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Legislative Assembly Partap Singh Bajwa on Friday alleged a serious security lapse in the Assembly, claiming that unauthorized individuals entered the premises with equipment without proper passes or procedures.

Bajwa said the incident raises serious concerns about the safety and security of the state’s highest democratic institution. “Punjab was first made unsafe for the common man, and now even the temple of democracy, the Vidhan Sabha, is not secure,” he said while criticizing the state government.
