India Startup Festival 2023 begins in Bengaluru, hosting over 10,000 global startups

The theme of ISF 2023 is ‘Innovation at the Bottom of the Pyramid’, which will feature discussions on vital areas such as Rural Healthcare Education, Fintech, Rural Innovation, Agritech, and food tech. The event will host more than 10,000 startups from India, the UK, and Japan, and about 500 investors are also expected to be present.

 

The time for empowering entrepreneurs and fostering a robust startup ecosystem has arrived as the 2nd edition of India Startup Festival (ISF) 2023 is being held from 10th to 12th August, 2023 at Muddanahalli, Bengaluru. The event is being organized by the Indian Startup Foundation, a not-for-profit organization supporting the growth and development of Indian startups.

The theme of ISF 2023 is ‘Innovation at the Bottom of the Pyramid’, which will feature discussions on vital areas such as Rural Healthcare Education, Fintech, Rural Innovation, Agritech, and food tech. The event will host more than 10,000 startups from India, the UK, and Japan, and about 500 investors are also expected to be present. Policymakers from across the country and around the world will address grassroot level issues and provide effective solutions. It will present a chance for startup founders to establish connections with other entrepreneurs and investors.

During the event, top 100 startups will be meticulously handpicked by the startup panel as finalists, giving them an exclusive opportunity to pitch on the big stage and obtain investment. The top 10 startups will get financial awards and mentoring from senior business people in their respective industries.

This festival is complementary to the other initiatives established by the government which includes Startup India, Digital India, Make-in-India, etc, which will advance startups in their missions and drive towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat. The event taking place in India’s Silicon Valley, the centre for the world-class technology emerging from India, will give entrepreneurs ground-breaking exposure and assist them in going worldwide with their goods and services.

The event will be attended by Sadguru Sri Madhusudan, Founder of Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence, Meenakshi Lekhi, Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, Priyank Kharge, Minister of Information Technology and Biotechnology, Karnataka, N. S. Boseraju, Minister of Minor Irrigation, Science & Technology Department of Karnataka, among others.

During the first edition of ISF 2022, more than 2000 startups participated in the event. Out of the 2000 registered firms, ranging from the early to the growth stages, 15 topped the competition. These startups are presently being monitored by the CEOs of prominent corporations and Industry experts.
