Badminton: PV Sindhu, H S Prannoy and Lakshya Sen to play their second round matches at BWF Badminton World Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark

In Badminton, Indian shuttlers PV Sindhu, H S Prannoy, and Lakshya Sen will play their second-round matches at the BWF Badminton World Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark, today. PV Sindhu starts her tournament in round 2 and will take on Nozomi Okuhara. Lakshya Sen will face Goh Jin Wei and HS Prannoy will go up against Swi Wardoyo in the men’s singles. Earlier World No. 9 Prannoy defeated World No. 57 Kalle Koljonen of Finland 24-22, 21-10. Lakshya came over Georges Julien Paul of Mauritius 21-12, 21-7.

However, Kidambi Srikanth made an early exit after going down to Japan’s Kenta Nishimoto in the opening round. Indian mixed doubles pair of Rohan Kapoor and N Sikki Reddy too crashed out, losing to Scottish pair Adam Hall and Julie Macpherson in the first round. The event will conclude on 27th August.
