US Open Tennis: India’s Rohan Bopanna and his Australian partner Matthew Ebden to play in Semifinal of Men’s Doubles in New York

In US Open Tennis, India’s Rohan Bopanna and his Australian partner Matthew Ebden will be seen in action in the Men’s Doubles Semifinal in New York tonight. They will face French pair of Nicolas Mahut and Pierre-Hugues Herbert. In another Semifinal match, defending champion British-American pair of Joe Salisbury and Rajeev Ram will be up against the pair of Croatia’s Ivan Dodig and USA’s Austin Krajicek.

In Men’s Singles, Spanish ace Carlos Alcaraz cruised to the Semifinal defeating Germany’s Alexander Zverev 6-3, 6-2, 6-4. In another match, Daniil Medvedev defeated fellow Russian Andrey Rublev 6-4, 6-3, 6-4 to reach his fourth semifinal. Defending champion Alcaraz and 2021 US Open champion Medvedev will face each other in the Semifinals. Second seed Novak Djokovic has set up a clash with American unseeded Ben Shelton in the other semifinal clash on Saturday.

In Women’s Singles, Second seed Aryna Sabalenka reached the US Open semi-finals for the third successive year with a dominant 6-1, 6-4 victory over Chinese 23rd seed Zheng Qinwen. The Belarusian second seed will face Madison Keys of the United States in the last four. Keys defeated Czech tennis player Markéta Vondroušová 6-1, 6-4 to enter the Semifinal. Sixth seed American player Coco Gauff will be up against Tenth seed Karolína Muchová of Czech Republic for a place in the final.

In Women’s Doubles Semi-final clash, German-Russian duo of Laura Siegemund and Vera Zvonareva will face American-Brazilian pair of Jennifer Brady and Luisa Stefani, while the pair of New Zealand’s Erin Routliffe and Canada’s Gabriela Dabrowski will be up against the duo of China’s Wang Xinyu and Taiwan’s Hsieh Su-wei.

In Mixed Doubles, American pair of Austin Krajicek and Jessica Pegula will face the pair of Kazakhstan’s Anna Danilina and Finland’s Harri Heliövaara in the Final on Saturday.
