PM Modi extends invitation to G20 University Connect Finale at Bharat Mandapam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended a special invitation to university students and young professionals interested in advancing their education to join the G20 University Connect Finale. The event is scheduled to be held on September 26 at Bharat Mandapam, the same venue that hosted the recent G20 Summit.

The G20 University Connect Finale will take place at the iconic Bharat Mandapam – the same place where esteemed world leaders converged for the G20 Summit a few days ago. Sharing a post on LinkedIn, PM Modi said, “Over the last one year, the G20 University Connect programme brought together India’s Yuva Shakti. The initiative, spanning the entire year, proved to be incredibly fulfilling, yielding highly satisfying outcomes.”

The event is set to begin at 3 pm, featuring an interactive session led by PM Narendra Modi with vice-chancellors, principals, faculty members, and students from universities and colleges in the Delhi NCR region. Within the event, the Indian delegation representing G20 will share valuable insights regarding the outcomes of the G20 summit.

PM Modi said that the programme has showcased to the world how Indian youth have emerged as vibrant cultural envoys, who have cemented enduring connections with the G20 fraternity. As per PM Modi, it has also enabled the youth to know more about India’s G20 Presidency, along with the themes that India has worked on during its Presidency. “It ignite a spirit of collectiveness towards our planet and to prepare our youth to be active makers of a Viksit Bharat by 2047,” PM Modi added.

The G20 University Connect initiative has organized numerous programs within its framework, spanning across India and garnering enthusiastic participation from higher education institutions. The programme initially commenced as a university-focused initiative and later expanded to encompass schools and colleges, thereby reaching an even broader audience. PM Modi particularly noted one of the events, that was the “Model G20 Meeting,” where students from 12 different nations, including 10 G20 countries, came to discuss the theme “Youth for LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment).”

PM Modi expressed his delight about the special G20 University Connect programme, and said, “I am eager to hear and gain insights from the experiences of our Yuva Shakti. Their enriching journey is bound to ignite inspiration among the youth of our nation. I particularly urge all the youngsters to join this unique endeavour.”
