Ajman Showcases Tourism and Investment Opportunities in India

Ajman Department of Tourism Development , United Arab Emirates is currently on a mission to showcase the unique tourism and investment potential of the emirate in India. The delegation, headed by Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, is actively engaging with key stakeholders in the Indian tourism industry. This roadshow, spanning from October 9th to 13th, is set to unfold in three major Indian cities: Bangalore, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad.

The primary goal of this initiative is to foster meaningful partnerships and bolster collaboration with Indian tourism officials, travel agencies, tour operators, and hotel managers. At its core, the roadshow aims to attract more visitors to Ajman, bolster hotel occupancy rates, and highlight the latest developments in the emirate’s tourism sector, all while showcasing enticing investment opportunities.

India has emerged as a crucial market for Ajman, with Indian visitors consistently seeking exceptional experiences and services for both business and leisure. According to Ajman Tourism reports, India has been the second-largest international feeder market for the emirate over the past three years, constituting over 12 percent of total visitors. Impressively, Indian visitor numbers have surged by 48 percent year-to-date in 2023, up from 31 percent in 2019. Additionally, Indian guests are extending their stays by 23 percent year-over-year.

The roadshow in India signifies a significant milestone in Ajman’s quest to position itself as a top-tier tourist destination and a promising investment hub in the United Arab Emirates.
