INS Kadmatt strengthens India-Philippines maritime ties with Manila visit and South China Sea exercise
As part of its ongoing Long Range Op Deployment, INS Kadmatt arrived in Manila, Philippines on Tuesday, furthering maritime cooperation between India and the Philippines.
During the port call, a series of engagements, including professional interactions, subject matter expert exchanges, and cross-deck visits, took place to enhance collaboration between the naval personnel of both nations.
Following its departure from Manila, INS Kadmatt participated in a maritime partnership exercise in the South China Sea alongside BRP Ramon Alcaraz, an offshore patrol vessel of the Philippine Navy.
INS Kadmatt, an indigenously designed and built anti-submarine warfare corvette, is equipped with a state-of-the-art anti-submarine weapon suite.
Earlier, on December 2, INS Kadmatt embarked on a long range operational deployment to the North Pacific Ocean, reaching Yokosuka, Japan, for an operational turnaround (OTR).
