Record 1 crore registrations for ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ 2024
This year’s program is scheduled for January 29, starting at 11 am in a town-hall format at Bharat Mandapam.
More than one crore students, parents and teachers have so far registered for the 7th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC) 2024, on the MyGov portal.
The registration process commenced on December 11, 2023, and the deadline to apply for ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ 2024 is January 12.
An official release from the Ministry of Education highlighted the immense enthusiasm among students nationwide to participate in this unique event and engage with the Prime Minister
PM Modi conceived this interactive program, wherein students, parents, and teachers from across the nation and also from overseas interact with him to discuss anxieties related to examinations and life after school.
Organized by the Department of School Education and Literacy under the Ministry of Education, this event has been successfully conducted for six years.
This year’s program is scheduled for January 29, starting at 11 am in a town-hall format at Bharat Mandapam, ITPO, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. Nearly 4,000 participants will engage with the Prime Minister during the program.
Additionally, two students and a teacher from each of the States and UTS and winners of the Kala Utsav and the Veer Gatha competition may be invited as special guests for the main event.
Apart from this, an online MCQ competition is currently live on the MyGov portal from December 11, 2023, to January 12, 2024, welcoming participation from students in classes 6th to 12th, teachers, and parents.
‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ is part of the larger movement – ‘Exam Warriors’, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to create a stress-free atmosphere for youngsters.
Preceding the main event is the ‘Youth Day, spanning from January 12 to January 23. During this period, schools will host various engaging activities such as marathons, music competitions, meme contests, street plays (nukkad natak), and student-led discussions.
On the final day, commemorating Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti, a painting competition will take place across 500 districts nationwide. The themes will revolve around topics like Chandrayaan, India’s sporting accomplishments, and more, emphasizing how exams can symbolize a celebration of life.
Around 2050 participants will be chosen based on their questions on the MyGov portal. These selected individuals will receive a special Pariksha Pe Charcha kit, containing the ‘Exam Warriors’ book authored by the Prime Minister in both Hindi and English, along with a certificate.
