PM Modi extends greetings to nation on occasion of 75th Republic Day

In celebration of the 75th Republic Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed heartfelt wishes to the nation, emphasizing the significance of the occasion. In a message shared on X, PM Modi expressed, “Best wishes on the special occasion of the 75th Republic Day. Jai Hind!”

President Droupadi Murmu is set to lead the nation in the grand festivities marking the Amrit Kaal journey, following the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations commemorating 75 years of India’s independence.

The 90-minute parade, a symbol of Viksit Bharat’s rich cultural diversity, ‘Aatmanirbhar’ military prowess, and the rising Nari Shakti, will be graced by French President Emmanuel Macron as the Chief Guest.

This ceremonial event will showcase the nation’s defense forces with impressive displays, including mighty cavalcades featuring state-of-the-art equipment, marches of contingents, and a celebration of diverse cultures and unity.

Centered around the themes of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Bharat – Loktantra ki Matruka,’ this year’s parade is set to include the participation of approximately 13,000 special guests. This initiative aims to encourage people from all walks of life to partake in the celebrations and foster Jan Bhagidari (public participation) in this national festival.

The Republic Day parade, scheduled to commence at 10:30 am, is expected to run for around 90 minutes. The ceremony will kick off with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the National War Memorial, where he will lead the nation in paying solemn tributes to the fallen heroes by laying a wreath. This symbolic act reinforces the nation’s gratitude for the sacrifices made by those who served and protected the country. The Republic Day celebration is a momentous occasion for India, showcasing its progress, strength, and unity on the global stage.
