Direct flight services commence connecting Ayodhya to 8 cities
Assuring comprehensive airline coverage, Scindia said, “There will be no airlines left that will not be operating from Ayodhya.”
In a move to enhance air connectivity to the holy city of Ayodhya and accommodate the surge of pilgrims, Union Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel, Jyotiraditya Scindia virtually inaugurated SpiceJet’s direct flight service, connecting the Ayodhya with eight cities.
The newly introduced flight routes connect Ayodhya with major cities such as Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Patna, Darbhanga, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
This strategic expansion responds to the escalating demand following the recent ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony at the Ram Temple, amplifying Ayodhya’s tourism potential and laying the foundation for economic and social development.
During the inauguration, Scindia emphasised the unique significance of Ayodhya, stating, “Ayodhya is not an ordinary destination. The faith and reverence of devotees of Bhagwan Ram from every corner of the world are connected with it.”
The Civil Aviation minister outlined the growth of operational airports in Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The number has doubled from five to ten, with an additional five airports set to be operational soon. By the end of the year, the total number of airports in the state is expected to reach 16, including the world-class Jewar greenfield airport.
Assuring comprehensive airline coverage, Scindia said, “There will be no airlines left that will not be operating from Ayodhya.”
The ceremony, held on Thursday, was also attended by Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath and Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Road Transport and Highways, Gen V.K. Singh.
