Reigning champions Mumbai Indians defeated Gujarat Giants by five wickets at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru last night. Mumbai successfully chased down the target of 127 runs in 18.1 overs. Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur remained unbeaten with 46 runs while chasing.

Kiwi player Amelia Kerr has been adjudged as the Player of the Match as she scalped 4 wickets for Mumbai. Earlier, put into bat first, Gujarat scored 126 runs for the loss of nine wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. This was Mumbai’s second win in two matches.
