WPL: Royal Challengers Bangalore’s winning streak breaks with a defeat by Delhi Capitals

In Women’s Premier League Cricket, Delhi Capitals won by 25 runs, breaking Royal Challengers Bangalore’s winning streak last night. Opener Shefali Verma made a fluent 50 off 31 balls to steer the Capitals to a hefty 194 for five after being asked to bat first. RCB could not get over the line despite Smriti Mandhana’s sublime 74 off 43 balls and ended with 169 for nine in 20 overs. It was RCB’s first loss of the season.

Today, UP Warriorz will face Gujarat Giants at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru at 7.30 PM, IST. In their previous match, UP Warriorz defeated Mumbai Indians Women by 7 wickets, while Gujarat is yet to register their first win in the tournament.
