PM Modi’s humble gesture in Odisha is winning hearts
An unexpected gesture by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has earned him gratitude and respect from several quarters. While addressing a rally in Odisha on Tuesday, PM Modi’s attention was drawn to a group of children who had come to see him bearing gifts and mementos.
Pausing his speech, PM Modi requested the SPG commandos deployed for his security to collect the gifts and photos brought by the children. “Children, please mention your addresses at the back of the paper. I will write a letter to you. (Main chithhi likhunga aap logo ko….), ” PM Modi said, drawing praise and appreciation from the audience.
The visit saw multiple development projects worth over Rs 19,600 crore being inaugurated by the PM. The projects span diverse sectors including oil and gas, railways, road infrastructure, transportation, highways, and atomic energy. PM Modi said that the initiatives will not only boost industrial activity in the region but will also create employment opportunities.
Ahead of his visit, PM Modi paid tribute to former chief minister of Odisha Biju Patnaik on his birth anniversary, hailing his “visionary leadership and indomitable spirit.”
