Pariksha Pe Charcha: Mary Kom, Avani, Suhas share insights on discipline & focus with students

Building on the insightful discussions initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the seventh episode of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2025 aired on Monday, featuring renowned athletes Mary Kom, Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj, and Avani Lekhara. The sportspersons engaged with students, offering motivational advice on discipline, focus, and resilience.

In a post on X, PM Modi shared the episode’s link, saying, “Our sportspersons inspire us with their resilience, focus, and winning mindset. Watch @MangteC, @suhas_ly, and @AvaniLekhara share tips on handling exam pressure during Pariksha Pe Charcha.”

Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj, IAS officer and two-time Paralympic silver medallist, emphasized mental strength, saying, “Your mind is your greatest friend and your greatest enemy. Whether it’s an exam or life’s challenges, nervous energy is something everyone experiences.”

Boxing legend Mary Kom reflected on overcoming societal expectations. “In the beginning, it was very difficult because boxing is not considered a women’s sport. I just wanted to prove myself in front of all the girls and women in the country. In doing so, I have brought glory to the nation by becoming a World Champion multiple times,” she said

Two-time Paralympic champion shooter Avani Lekhara shared how knowledge helped her conquer fear: “We fear things that we don’t have knowledge about. I started gaining knowledge and improving myself, and in this way, my fear gradually decreased.”
