Indonesia Open Badminton: India’s Kidambi Srikanth and HS Prannoy sail into quarterfinals

In the Indonesia Open Badminton tournament being played in Jakarta, India’s Kidambi Srikanth, and HS Prannoy have moved on to the quarter-final stage. Kidambi Srikanth beat compatriot Lakshya Sen in straight sets 21-17, 22-20, while HS Prannoy defeated Hong Kong’s Angus Ng Ka Long 21-18, 21-16.

In Men’s doubles, Indian pair of Satviksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty also entered quarter finals defeating China’s He Jiting and Zhou Haodong 21-17, 21-15.

In Women’s Singles, the two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu lost 18-21, 16-21 to Taiwan’s Tai Tzu-Ying.

Other Indian Shuttler Priyanshu Rajawat will lock horns with Indonesia’s Angus AS later today.
