Passing out parade of Agniveers held at ASC Center and College in Bengaluru

Agnipath is a game changer scheme for the Armed Forces which has started acting as force multiplier in making Indian military as one of the best in the world with youthful, high-tech and ultra-modern outlook.

Agniveers participated in the Passing Out Parade at ASC Center and College in Bengaluru on August 4, reported ANI. The ambience at the ground was all about marching boots as Agniveer Attestation cum Passing Out Parade was held.

AGNIPATH is a scheme wherein selected candidates will be enrolled as Agniveers for a four-year period. After 4-year period, Agniveers will go to society as disciplined, dynamic and skilled workforce for employment in other sectors.

However, based on organisational requirements, Agniveers will be offered an opportunity to apply for permanent cadre. Up to 25 percent of Agniveers will be selected for enrollment in the Armed Forces as a regular cadre.

Earlier, in January, 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the first batch of Agniveers of the three Services, who had commenced their basic training, via video conferencing. PM Modi had congratulated the Agniveers on being the pioneers of this path-breaking Agnipath Scheme.

PM Modi also highlighted that this transformative policy will be a game changer in strengthening our Armed Forces and making them future ready for the challenges that lie ahead. Prime Minister affirmed that the young Agniveers will make the Armed Forces more youthful and tech savvy.
